It has been over a week since we pulled the names out of the hat for our big (biggest ever) Avett Brothers Grand Prize Giveaway. The entire duration I have had two names bouncing around my memory bank....To Meghan from Portland and Garrett from Seattle, we congratulate you for the incredible luck you have recently experienced with all the goodies involved with this giveaway. That was a whopper of a prize, and we would like to once again thank the participating Sponsors: Ramseur Records, The Avett Brothers, McMenamins, OPBmusic.org, and the Mark Spencer Hotel. For anyone still thinking about a place to stay while in Portland, we still strongly suggest the Mark Spencer Hotel. This is the best bet for being close and comfortable once it comes to this part of Portland...
For everyone else out there that is waiting for the next week to fly by...well, we are with you! These shows are going to tear the Crystal down (maybe even most of Portland), and do-do-do get your tickets in advance. *Word to the wise: If you choose to get them at the Crystal Ballroom box office you only end up spending $1 for the surcharge. I am certain that 5/23 will sell-out in advance, and from the looks of it 5/22 is running a close second. Make your move before it is too late, these shows could become a big part of Avett Brothers lore, so why miss it? Oh, and for all the Avett Nation folks out there... let us know what you are planning before the shows, we'll certainly try to join ya!
Ah....aside from that, we are just getting ready to enjoy some early Summer weather while out at the Farm this weekend with our Work Party pals.
