To be considered as a 2009 Pickahon Volunteer, follow the steps below.

UPDATE: MOST OF THE CREWS ARE FULL BUT PLEASE SIGN UP IF YOU WANT TO BE ON A WAITLIST FOR ANY OF THE CREWS MARKED WAITLIST.

2009 Pickathon Volunteers are chosen on a first-come-first-serve basis. You will receive one free weekend pass which includes camping but does not include parking. Every effort will be made to match up your preferences and past experience with one of the Pickathon crews.

2009 GENERAL VOLUNTEER WAITLIST
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL GENERAL VOLUNTEER SLOTS ARE CURRENTLY FILLED BUT PLEASE STILL RANK THIS SELECTION TO BE PLACED ON THE WAITLIST FOR GENERAL VOLUNTEERS.

You will be assigned to 2 4-hour shifts (except for Friday 11-4 shift which is 5 hours) on Thursday from 4 to 8, Friday 11 am to 4, 4 to 8 and 8 to midnight, Saturday and Sunday 8 am to noon, noon to 4, 4 to 8 or 8 to midnight mostly helping with the front gate, parking, merchandise booth, monitoring the camping area and pedestrian and backstage entrances. There is also an opportunity to work 1 8-hour shift to monitor the main stage from midnight to 8 am Fri., Sat., or Sun. In the box to your right please indicate if you would be interested in the midnight to 8 am shift, enter names of folks you would like to be scheduled with, and any other preferences or comments.

2009 GENERAL VOLUNTEER WAITLIST
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL GENERAL VOLUNTEER SLOTS ARE CURRENTLY FILLED BUT PLEASE STILL RANK THIS SELECTION TO BE PLACED ON THE WAITLIST FOR GENERAL VOLUNTEERS.

You will be assigned to 2 EIGHT HOUR shifts during the weeks before or after Pickathon. Available shifts are as follows: SET UP-July 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, TEAR DOWN-August 3, 4, 5. Each day is made up of one 8 hour shift from 10am-7pm with a break for lunch in the middle. Set Up/Tear Down volunteers miss no music during the weekend, and this is the primary reason for the hours needed to fulfill the volunteer obligations. In the box to your right enter any days you will be available to volunteer, names of folks you would like to be scheduled with, and any other preferences or comments. The tasks that are incorporated with SET UP/TEAR DOWN are numerous and often involve some pretty hard labor.

2009 BEER GARDEN WAITLIST

You will be assigned to 2 SIX HOUR shifts during the Pickathon weekend (July 31-August 2). Available shifts are as follows: Galaxy Barn Beer Garden - July 31: 4:30-10:30pm, 10pm-2:30am. August 1: 11am-5pm, 4:30-10:30pm, 10pm-2:30am. August 2: 11am-5pm, 4:30-10:30pm, 10pm-2:30am Mountain View Beer Garden - July 31: 12pm-6pm, 6pm-12am. August 1: 12pm-6pm, 6pm-12am. August 2: 12pm-6pm, 6pm-12am. Beer Garden Volunteers will need to obtain and supply proof of a current OLCC servers license. In the box to your right enter names of folks you would like to be scheduled with, and any other preferences or comments.

2009 RECYLE WAITLIST
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RECYCLE SLOTS ARE CURRENTLY FILLED BUT PLEASE STILL RANK THIS SELECTION TO BE PLACED ON THE WAITLIST FOR RECYCLE VOLUNTEERS.

You will be assigned to 2 FOUR HOUR shifts during the Pickathon weekend (July 30-August 3). Available shifts are as follows: July 30: 11:00am-5:00pm (set up). July 31: 2:30-6:30pm, 6:15-10:15pm, 10:00pm-2:00am August 1: 7:00 -11:00am, 10:45am-2:45pm, 2:30-6:30pm, 6:15-10:15pm, 10:00pm-2:00am. August 2: 7:00 -11:00am, 10:45am-2:45pm, 2:30-6:30pm, 6:15-10:15pm, 10:00pm-2:00am. August 3: 8:00am-4:00pm (tear down). In the box to your right enter names of folks you would like to be scheduled with, and any other preferences or comments.

2009 Hospitality Crew

Requirements for Hospitality Volunteers are as follows: You currently hold a food handlers card, are a fun and outgoing personality, have hospitality in your blood, and have worked in the Restaurant / Catering / Bar industry in the Past 2 years. You will be assigned up to 2 SIX HOUR shifts during the Pickathon weekend (July 31-August 2). Available shifts are as follows: July 31: Mountain View-3:00pm-9:00pm. Galaxy Barn-3:00pm-9:00pm. August 1: Mountain View-8:00am -12:00pm, 12:00-4:00pm, 4:00-9:00pm. Galaxy Barn-10:00am-4:00pm, 4:00-9:00pm. August 2: Mountain View-8:00am -12:00pm, 12:00-4:00pm, 4:00-9:00pm. Galaxy Barn-10:00am-4:00pm, 4:00-9:00pm. Talents and Skills that are helpful: Methods and procedures of quantity food preparation, Kitchen sanitation and safe food storage knowledge, use and care of cooking equipment and utensils, and of course Kitchen safety. Hospitality Volunteers will be responsible for the preparation Delivery / set-up / Break Down / of all Hospitality stations represented at the Pickathon. Step 3 --> Please Read the following Terms and Conditions :
Once you complete the Pickathon 2009 Volunteer sign-up process, you will get in the que of Pickathon Volunteers. It is first-come-first-serve and experienced Pickathon volunteers also get special consideration. Once there is confirmed space on a particular crew, you will be notified by email so you can make your plans to be at the Pendarvis Farm for Pickathon 2009. If you are a confirmed volunteer, your email confirmation and specific shifts will be sent off to you in the weeks before the festival. This is very important to print this official volunteer ticket to check-in properly at Pickathon2009. *All vehicles being Parked, Camped-in, Camped-by, etc ... MUST purchase the proper Vehicle Pass for 2009 Pickathon* I hereby understand that if accepted for a volunteer position, I will be acting as a representative of the festival and agree to the following: 1. To arrive and report to my supervisor on time 2. To fulfill all my assigned shifts I expressly understand and agree that neither Pickathon nor any of its officers, agents, volunteers, assistants, or employees shall be held responsible or made subject, to any claim seeking to assess damages of liability for or arising from personal injury or property damage or loss of any sort, to myself or any other person on whose behalf this agreement is now signed as a result of actual or proposed participation in the Pickathon Volunteer Program. I also hereby agree to indemnify Pickathon, its officers, agents, volunteers, assistants, or employees harmless on account of any such claims. Insurance: By virtue of state law, I understand I am waiving any workmen�s compensation coverage, as I am a volunteer.
