Han Ly Hwang started cooking in different kitchens in the DC metro area at the age of sixteen. Han started specializing in Korean cuisine in 2009 and opened Kim Jong Grillin’, a Korean BBQ food cart. After a few short months, Kim Jong Grillin won Judges choice award at the Eat Mobile food festival in 2010.
Han has been a contestant on Food Network’s Chopped and has done multiple collaboration dinners with Chef’s in Portland OR. Winner of the 2016 Feast Sandwich invitational.
