Pickathon is going green in 2006. We are working on a complete sustainability plan that addresses the areas of renewable energy, waste, “green” hotels, transportation, and more.

We will have more info on our website within a couple weeks relating to what we are hoping to achieve and what part you can play in showcasing how a music festival can be both fun and environmental sustainable.

If you are coming from out of town we are developing several options for you.

If you need a Hotel we recommend you book at the only Oregon green seal certified Hotel. The Doubletree Hotel is located very close to both Pickathon and Downtown Portland. Because of its location next to the Portland MAX light rail one can get to the Doubletree from a plane or train without the need for a taxi or rental car. We are also working on making it possible to take mass transportation right to the festival itself so you could enjoy both the Pickathon and the lovely neighborhoods of Portland without the need for a car at all.
