Early Bird Ticket Update and Pendarvis Farm Work Party This Weekend!
Thursday April 30, 2009

I reckon that this may well be the final announcement and with a fond farewell, saying goodbye to the Early Birds – officially – on Cinco de Mayo. The 5th of May will now be the big day. Pre-Gate Weekend Tickets begin at that time. The savings from now until that day is $15. Think about it… if you have never been to Pickathon I assure you that this is truly a special thing, and right now at the perfect size as far as crowds and comfort goes. The schedule is going to be overflowing in 2009, with ample opportunity to see all these great artists scattered throughout the 80 wonderful acres and on one of the Six unique stages. We are getting closer as the 90 day countdown begins. Say hello to Summer my friends…things couldn’t be better and it will soon be time for another fantastic Pickathon reunion.

And from out on the Farm….
Regardless of what the weather says, we will still be out at Pendarvis Farm this weekend, May 2nd and 3rd for some good fun with the crew at the 2nd installment of the 2009 Pendarvis Farm Work Parties. I have posted on these work parties a great number of times in the past, and I know this.. However, ’tis the time of year for clearing sticks, brush fires, battling brambles, putting down new grass seeds, and just making the best we can of all the great land out there. Pendarvis Farm is really a diamond in the rough out here and we would like to do all we can to help improve and encourage others to take part and come get down. The weekends are not 100% work, as once evening assumes there is plenty of food and jamming and general good timing until the late hours. Work Party questions, and for more information please contact elwood@pickathon.com.
Oh, and this weekend we have the good folks at Al Forno Ferruzza providing dinner on Saturday night…

Well that covers it today. Hope to see some new folks out at Farm this weekend, maybe think about a nice rain coat and boots…could be a little wet. Here’s to April being a pretty good month. Let Mr. Earle will tell us how it is.
