Having just released their Sub Pop debut, awE naturalE, this past week, THEESatisfaction are quickly becoming a name that we’re hearing over and over again. For good reason of course as this is original, positive, and inspired stuff. As they best describe it themselves: Funk-psychedelic feminista sci-fi epics with the warmth and depth of Black Jazz and Sunday morning soul, frosted with icy raps that evoke equal parts Elaine Brown, Ursula Rucker and Q-Tip.
In addition to the release, they’ve also made a visit to the KEXP studios and recorded a great live session, watch Needs here, and we’ll be sure to post the rest of the songs over the next week.
Enjoy.
