If you’ve ever seen Foxygen live, you probably thought, “What the fuck is going on?” or “Wait. I love this.” as your eyes tried to follow lead singer Jonathan Rado rolling around the sticky stage. The band is known for their chaotic performances but also for their fuzzy psych pop-rock.
Today, Foxygen released their latest full-length album …And Star Power. The New York Times T: Magazine perfectly describes how the album is “full of hummable hooks that sound as if they’ve been pulled from a parallel dimension’s AM radio, strange half-baked songs and guest turns from the Flaming Lips and White Fence.”
