After releasing the last Grammy nominated Wilco album, Star Wars, Jeff Tweedy has been touring non-stop with his band. Tweedy recently played an NPR Tiny Desk Session and serenaded Stephen Colbert to sleep.
In an interview with The Guardian, Tweedy describes that a new album will be out this year that might include a political track by Woody Guthrie that talks about how Trump’s father was racist.
In other news of cover songs, Tweedy also released a Bowie cover of “Space Oddity.”
