We’re proud to announce the first season and season premiere of the Pickathon Curation Series – six episodes showcasing unique pairings of musical and culinary artists, made possible with support from Travel Portland.
Today we are excited to share the debut episode featuring Chef Maya Lovelace of Mae with Luz Elena Mendoza of the Portland-based band, Y La Bamba, and hosted by Chef Jason French of Ned Ludd and Kelly Cox of The Original Fare.
ABOUT THE CURATION SERIES
The Curation Series is a multi-layered collaboration starting with Pickathon and Chef Jason French to curate six intimate food, music and beverage experiences at Pickathon festival in August. Each Curation event featured one Pacific Northwest chef paired with a musical artist to collaborate on a brunch or dinner menu reflecting common influences between both chef and musician. Co-hosts Jason French and Kelly Cox of The Original Fare introduce us to the musical and culinary artists and their creative process behind the scenes. The result is a synchronistic discovery of the ingredients that go into crafting an inspired life.
