New album from Ezra Furman, returning to Pickathon August 4&5
Saturday March 3, 2018

Ezra Furman made a lasting impression when first joining us in 2016, with each set ripe with angst & abandenment (and saxophone) he struck a chord or two and was a obvious candidate for the invite back. In fact, many of you asked to make this happen so it should go without saying, it’s a real pleasure being able to have Ezra joining us again in 2018. New album, new band, new chapter.

Join Ezra Furman this Summer at Pickathon, returning on August 4 & 5.

The reviews of Ezra’s new release Transangelic Exodus will all point to the fact that you’re listening to a Chicago born, queer, jewish kid with a unique voice who’s taking the steps to follow traditions of other American songwriting greats. A student of that craft with a unique voice and perspective. Case in point – an entire album loosely based around supernatural queer lovers that are on the run from the law.

For additional weekend listening -> Ezra recently made the trip to Marc Maron’s garage and was a guest on the fantastic WTF Podcast, listen to that here.
