2 DAYS AND COUNTING DOWN…

1. DAY 15 OF PICKATHON SETUP HAPPENING TODAY
It’s a big day for loading in and everyone’s eagerly awaiting the arrival of the legend ‘Galaxy Barn’ Gavin and his big green van and classic vintage PA… This is a Pickathon institution and it’s an honor and a privledge. In other news, the kitchen crew made a seamless move from the Galaxy kitchen to the new festival hospitality kitchen, Taylor, the spatula slinger from South Dakota is one good egg and trust me when I say they have helped fuel this newsletter today. Skylab (yes, that Skylab) is nearly finished with a *spectacular* design & build of the new Curation space… The beverage gardens are being prepped, the lights are going up at each of our stages, audio is loading in, and today we start to see all of our fabulous food vendors beginning to arrive. It’s a BIG day at Pendarvis Farm and the team out here is IN-FREAKING-CREDIBLE!!! Come on out and feel the love… Pickathon happens but only once a year, don’t miss out.

Make your plans today -> IT’S ALMOST TIME TO PICKATHON!

4. GALAXIA MYSTERIOSO
NEW -> We’re transforming the Galaxy Art Yard again this year… Here’s what you can look forward to -> The ‘Galaxia Mysterioso’. Curated by Matt Wagner of Portland’s Hellion Gallery, an imagined world with hand-painted murals, illustrations, and installations evoking a mysterious Latin-American carnival. Inspired by retro painted movie posters, vaudeville films, Mexican mural traditions, and old-school sideshow advertisements, Wagner will be working with Itze Gonzalez and Lorena Cofradía from Urbana México City to create these illusions, and will use video, projection, and lighting effects for deeper immersion. Expect vintage hand painted sideshow banners, a small mercado featuring food, coffee and art, live DJs & VJs cutting videos that are projected overhead, and of course, what kind of party would this be without a vintage sideshow attraction with a caged mythical beast?Curious? Come out and check it out!
