Our sixth week of A Concert A Day is coming up and this has become a movement, y’all! We’re one of the most active and successful fundraisers for MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund and they definitely need help right now. We’re also incredibly excited to say that through Spotify’s partnership with MusiCares via the Spotify Covid-19 Music Relief project, they will be matching any donation raised during the Concert A Day livestreams up to a collective total of $10 million! So for every dollar raised for MusiCares’ COVID-19 Relief Fund, Spotify will also kick in a dollar! That’s huge, and we’re looking forward to some major concerts this week to help bring in funds for artists in need.
This week GRAMMY nominated Bluegrass phenom Sierra Hull kicks off a series of dizzyingly invigorating Woods Stage sets, including the shimmery and haunted country rock of Phosphorescent, indie-rock godfathers Built To Spill, and art-rock tour-de-force Warpaint. Also included are long-time Pickathon favorite and Americana ruffian Shakey Graves, masters of lush, sisterly harmony Joseph, and celebrated folk iconoclasts Anna & Elizabeth, who brought their particle-smashing blend of modern avant-garde performance and 19th-century creative expressions to the Lucky Barn in 2017.
With partnership from The Recording Academy, A Concert A Day brings 60 concerts from Pickathon over 60 days, premiering each day at 1:00 pm (Pacific Time) on Facebook, Instagram, Amazon Music’s Twitch channel, and YouTube. All donations go directly to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Thanks to Amazon Music, The Recording Academy, Spotify, Bandsintown, Wayfinder Beer, Brew Dr. Kombucha, Klean Kanteen, Travel Portland, Brooklyn Vegan, Live for Live Music, and American Songwriter.
About A Concert A Day
As we fight COVID-19 together, the power of music to bring hope, foster community, and encourage mental health is more resonant than ever. With this in mind, we are so excited to present A Concert A Day starting April 8, an initiative to help musicians and artist communities through the Recording Academy’s MUSICARES® organization. During this time of hardship, with so many artists unable to tour and so many people stuck at home, we’re opening our vaults to premiere one full concert a day for 60 days, streaming for free via The Recording Academy’s Facebook page, Amazon Music’s Twitch channel, and on YouTube as part of #StayHome #WithMe. All donations received will go to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Every day at 1:00PM (PDT), starting tomorrow, we will premiere a full set from Pickathon’s past with unprecedented direct support from the Recording Academy, Amazon Music, and YouTube. Each concert will remain up for only 3 days before being taken down, making each one a limited-time event, so don’t postpone! Gather your friends and family (virtually or from a safe distance, of course) and relive these memorable sets and donate to MusiCares right from your video feed.
Please tell your friends, post, share, and help us spread the word. We want these incredible concerts to be seen by everyone and raise as much money as we can to support artists in need.
