We transform the beautiful Pendarvis Farm into Oregon’s 51st largest city, a nature-based metropolis. It’s a truly immersive and personalized experience, the ultimate collaborative design music festival, where the magic of nature harmonizes with the artistry of humans.
Today, the fun begins as the design of the various Pickathon Immersive Neighborhoods is off to the races, and we are so excited to start sharing all the gory details of the process along the way.
Today, we are excited to begin the journey with the early ideation of the Paddock Neighborhood team led by ZGF Architecture and Hoffman Construction (the same team that led the design and build of the new PDX airport!).
New PDX Airport Terminal
Juan Carlos from ZGF was kind enough to give us a sneak peek.
“After a round of concept studies, our team has honed into one concept. Timbre.
Timbre in stage design reflects the “shape” and “color” of sensory experiences. Using five modules, we aim to craft a dynamic and immersive environment. A focus is placed on spatial depth (frontal and vertical), interactive playful design for audience engagement, and visual notes through lighting. Together, these modules will aim to harmonize to create a stage design that feels alive and evocative.”
We are so honored to have such a pro team putting their heart and soul into making the Paddock Neighborhood kickass for our 25th anniversary!
Expect many more updates from them (and all the other outstanding 15 Neighborhoods teams) in the coming weeks/months leading up to the festival!
