Meet the DJs: Pickathon 2026 DJ Lineup, Presented by Daydream
Thursday April 30, 2026

Pickathon has always been about discovery. The moment a song you’ve never heard stops you mid-stride on the path between stages. The afternoon you find yourself dancing in the woods to a record that was pressed in a city you’ve never visited. The DJ program is where that magic lives most freely, and we are proud to announce the 2026 DJ lineup, presented by Daydream.

This year’s roster spans 30 artists. Some are Pickathon fixtures whose sets have become part of the festival’s institutional memory. Others are first-timers bringing fresh perspective to Pendarvis Farm. All of them are archivists, historians, and tastemakers. Their crates are deep, their knowledge is hard-won, and their role in the Pickathon experience is irreplaceable. The DJs don’t fill time between acts. They create the connective tissue of the weekend, building context and curiosity that makes discovery possible.

Here’s who’s bringing the music in 2026.

Returning Artists

MorningRemorse A selector of vibes from all over the world, Carlos Block-Almazan has been playing records weekly on XRAY.FM since the station’s inception, traveling the globe dropping 7″ jams for bodies to move to. Expect disco, boogie funk, salsa, cumbia, and outsider dance jams.

disco diablo Record devotee and host of Manteca on KMHD, disco diablo spins genre-blurring sets full of thoughtful energy and unexpected gems, guided by a love of filling space with sound.

Oscurita Portland-based Oscurita (Adie Rae) is a genre-blurring intuitive room reader. Raised on a steady diet of jungle and hardcore punk, she is known for her range and eclecticism: left field disco, post-punk, and acid jazz delivered with narrative and patience. Adie also serves as the Pickathon DJ Programming Director and Programming Director at Daydream Wine and Sound.

GREASY A real record junkie since the late 80s, Mat Griesse has been digging for under-appreciated cuts through 60s R&B, Popcorn, Disco, Boogie 12″, Jamaican 45s, Jazz Funk, Garage 45s, and a whole lot of Soul. He founded DUG in 2008, one of Seattle’s best and longest-running dance parties.

Tom Humphrey Hosting the weekly radio show Backroad to Nowhere on XRAY.FM since the station’s inception in 2014, Tom Humphrey explores a musical universe orbiting around folk music, from avant-garde jazz to the vanguard of country. He has been DJing parties and pre-show sets at Pickathon since 2016.

DJ Maaxa & Serene DJ Maaxa is a music anthropologist, radio host, writer, and 25-year veteran behind the decks with roots in the Bay Area funk scene. Her work has been featured in SPIN and the SF Bay Guardian, and she has published books and documentaries on Sufi ritual sound, global hip-hop undergrounds, and women tradition-bearers. Serene, her 13-year-old son and the heir to her record collection, is a musician studying turntablism, percussion, and dance since he was a toddler. This is their third year DJing Pickathon together: rare groove, Afro-funk, rocksteady, spiritual jazz, global house, and underground hip-hop, tag-team style.

Wayward Girls Soul Club An all-female DJ collective serving their favorite records to venues in Portland and beyond since 2019. They play music from the female gaze: R&B, Soul, Funk, Boogaloo, Garage, and much more. You can hear them live every Saturday on XRAY.FM 2–3PM on their long-running show, The In Crowd.

DJ Dentside A country music DJ known for bringing honky-tonk energy to the dance floor, regularly hosting lively nights at the Kenton Club. With a deep love for the genre and its roots, she not only spins crowd-favorite tracks but also books and promotes talented local bands, keeping the spirit of country community alive.

Impact! Sound A DJ crew based in Portland specializing in reggae, ska, and rocksteady. Their sets are delivered on a custom 20,000-watt sound system channeling authentic Jamaican soundsystem culture. Drawing influence from Studio One, Trojan Records, and classic dub traditions, Impact! Sound hosts their weekly show every Saturday on X-Ray FM.

DJ Honest John A Portland-based party curator with roots in Miami who brings the heat wherever his needle drops. His sets weave together funky disco, bouncy boogie, and smooth grooves. A devotee of deep cuts with an ear for the unexpected, John has hosted Savage Beat on XRAY FM since 2015 and holds down regular spots at Gold Dust Meridian, LaVerne’s, and Daydream.

DJ Lofi A Portland DJ, guitarist in the band Lowfires, and record collector with roots in Detroit. His taste leans toward the fringes: outsider folk, basement punk, private press oddities, and records that feel a little haunted. He hosts The Search for Skip James on Shady Pines Radio, spinning sets that pull threads between past and present.

DJ Maxx Bass Jared White, owner of Clinton Street Records, has spent over 30 years behind the booth. From the legendary Booty Bassment to the Oaks Park skating rink and disco nights at the Sandy Hut, his experience spans iconic dance floors and intimate gatherings alike.
