In the coming weeks, we’re gonna be featuring all the artists on this year’s lineup so you can get to know everybody before seeing them on the farm. We’ve cobbled bios, media, and external stories about each performer on Pickathon.com, and today we’d like to introduce you to tUnE-yArDs. Merrill Garbus created her tUnE-yArDs persona back in 2009 and got her start playing shows playing her ukulele and a string of looping pedals with bassist and friend Nate Brenner. She’s since expanded her sound to include African tribal rhythms and more instrumentals, but tUnE-yArDs remains one of the most creative forces in indie-pop today.
