Chef Luna Contreras of Chelo PDX draws inspiration from her Guadalajaran grandmother and Mexican comida corrida, crafting bold and powerful tastes intertwined with the subtle, introspective indie songwriter Rosali. At its heart, Chelo is a ‘fonda,’ a central meeting ground offering ‘comida corrida’ that highlights street-style snacks and pastries through a whimsical, playful lens. We strive for community building through collaborative efforts.  We take great pride in our cuisine at Chelo. We believe in continuously growing relationships with local farms and purveyors in the Pacific Northwest to source high-quality ingredients.

Experience award-winning, seasonally inspired Mexican fare from Chef Luna Contreras, known for her deliberate layers of flavor. Her inspiration comes from the foundation established by her grandmother, Mama Chelo, in a ‘colonia’ in Guadalajara, Jalisco.

Band – Elephant Revival is a folk music group from Nederland, Colorado, formed in 2006. The band currently consists of Bonnie Paine, Bridget Law, Charlie Rose, Dango Rose, Daniel Sproul, and Darren Garvey. Known for their “transcendental folk” style, Elephant Revival blends Scottish/Celtic fiddle tunes, original folk pieces, traditional ballads, bluegrass, and indie rock. Each member is a multi-instrumentalist, contributing to both vocals and songwriting. They have shared the stage with notable acts such as Dispatch, Bela Fleck, John Paul Jones, Devotchka, Michael Franti, and more.
