Fuzzy Beuys – Ripple

Fuzzy Beuys [pronounced: fUHz-ee byOO-eez] is a dynamic media artist collective based in the Pacific Northwest, founded by Terry Holloway and Ian Coronado. With a deep commitment to transforming public spaces into immersive environments, the collective’s mission is to foster wonder, levity, and meaningful connection through interactive installations and performances. Their work thoughtfully blends inspirations from analog technologies and contemporary digital innovations, crafting experiences that invite audiences to slow down, engage their senses, and rediscover the joy of play and curiosity.

At Pickathon this year, Fuzzy Beuys brings Ripple, an interactive light installation designed to become a living part of the forested Windmill neighborhood. The piece invites festival-goers to step inside a teardrop-shaped structure where movement directly influences the shifting patterns, colors, and intensity of LED light. Powered by motion sensors, Ripple creates a responsive environment that evolves in real time, offering moments of surprise, reflection, and discovery. This art installation embodies the idea that small, individual actions can ripple outward, creating larger effects and connections within the community.

Fuzzy Beuys’ work strives to open new pathways for audience interaction, breaking down barriers between art and observer. Through Ripple and their broader body of work, they aim to provide accessible, joyful experiences that spark imagination and inspire deeper engagement with the environments we inhabit.
