Mike Taluc – Trickle, Flashes of Movement and Color
In the cathedral of trees, Mike Taluc’s kinetic sculpture captures the subtle energy of stillness and motion. Simple in form but rich in relational geometry, the piece responds to air currents with shifting flashes of red and yellow—an organic dance between form and environment, infused with whimsy and movement.
The air is rarely still. Even in those still moments, there is movement. This piece amplifies those movements into flashes of red and yellow. I am fond of dance.
It is not quite a toy, but there is whimsy in its ways. I like to think that I am a promoter of whimsy.
Its simplicity of form cascades into a complexity of relation between its pieces. Through geometry, I seek to express the organic.
The cathedral of the trees creates an opportunity for it to expand and contract. Through this art, I too reach out.
