My name is Roxy Schultz, the designer behind Wild by Design, a small woman-owned business. My jewelry line is handmade in Portland, Oregon. Each item is made with real preserved flowers, ferns, fruit, and faux insects. Wild by Design jewelry includes earrings, necklaces, rings, and hair accessories. I use hand-pressed botanicals to give a second life to flowers and plants by encasing them in four separate layers of resin. After sanding and finishing the resin elements, I inlay them in either sterling silver or 14k gold. It is essential for me to use the highest quality metals to avoid all skin sensitivities and allergies. Depending on the piece, I then incorporate stone, crystals, or other metals. Some of our most popular designs also include beautiful life like faux insects such as butterflies, moths, bees, dragonflies, and beetles. These insects are made from an organic cotton rag pearl paper that shimmers when it catches the light! I draw inspiration from all of the breathtaking nature that surrounds the Pacific Northwest and find joy in creating one-of-a-kind pieces that preserve and honor the fleeting beauty of both flowers and plants. I take pride in owning an inclusive and accessible business and it is important to me that my prices reflect that as my jewelry ranges from $10-$100.
