Pickathon is a welcoming festival and community. As a guest at Pickathon, you have an active role in creating an enjoyable and accepting environment for your fellow attendees, including speaking out when you see unacceptable behavior.
Pickathon has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to: race, color, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, religion, and disability status.
Offensive behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Acts of physical assault or battery
- Verbal abuse
- Racial or ethnic slurs
- Groping, sexual assault, or unwanted sexual remarks
- Unwelcome attention or physical contact
- Stalking
- Threatening language
Pickathon is committed to making your experience safe. Therefore, we pledge to take immediate action – up to and including removal from the grounds – against those creating unsafe spaces for festival attendees. This policy applies to everyone including musicians, poets, press, staff, volunteers, security and patrons.
