The sun is shining, the crew is out busting their humps, and we are wrapping this puppy up as the hour nears and the gates open up for the 11th Annual Pickathon. It was a long, cool night and folks here at the farm are seeming enthusiastic and relaxed. Music kicks off on 4 stages…..come see John Doe, Jackstraw, Sam Quinn + Japan Ten, Justin Townes Earle…ll before 6pm….then spend the rest of your Friday night with the Hackensaw Boys, Thao, Big Sandy, The Sadies, and Dr. Dog. The first day at this years Pickathon is going to be huge, and we are really looking forward to making it all happen
A few things to kick start the morning….
First, Tickets are now only available at the gate. Weekend Tickets, Day Tickets, and Parking Passes. Cash Only, so please plan accordingly.
Second, the weather this weekend looks to be in the mid-to-low 90’s, with low’s at night in the 60’s.
Last but not least, we are bummed to let you know that Elliott Brood has had to cancel due to severe medical circumstances. They are all alright, and we look forward to working with them in the future. ..if you’ve been wondering.
Here’s a little piece of Farm Americana captured the other night, Sam Yale from Jackstraw playing the newly finished Pickathon guitar from The John Brown Lutherie which we will be raffling from the merch table.
