2012 was indeed a great year for Oklahoma artist/musician JD McPherson. Since releasing Signs & Signifiers with Rounder Records last April, his name has been thrown around a good deal, even finding himself at the top of many ‘Best Of’ lists. In fact, this was the most played album on Americana radio in 2012 and he even wound up playing for the Conan, Letterman, and Leno audiences. That’s right, we’ve know it for a while, but it is clear that Americana is in the limelight and we couldn’t be happier for artists of this ilk who are coming out at this time.

As you know from the past several years of Pickathon lineups, we love the early rock n’ roll, soul and traditional country sounds…

2013 will be the first time having JD and his band at Pickathon, and we want to make sure you’re on board to help show him what Pendarvis Farm is made of. Expect to see them on both Friday and Saturday, and as it stands now – look for a late-night debut in the Galaxy Barn late Friday night.
