LA Times called Open Mike Eagle “one of LA’s smartest young voices.” He started his music career in LA by joining the Project Blowed collective. More recently, he’s been known to rap at comedy shows such as for Paul F. Tompkins and Hannibal Buress.
Last month, he debuted his second album, Hella Personal Film Festival, which was a collaborative project between him, Aesop Rock, and British producer Paul White (Danny Brown, Charli XCX and Homeboy). Much of the album’s theme came from Mike Eagle’s thoughts on Black Lives Matter and the racial injustice he saw and experienced.
For all you Portland folks, Mike Eagle will be playing at Bunk Bar May 13. Click here for more info and tickets!
