Volunteer Work Party at Pendarvis Farm
*Space is limited -> Please RSVP!
We’re gearing up for the festival and we’ve got some work to do! So we’re having a work party out at the farm this Saturday from 10am-6pm.
The To-Do list includes: patching up rough spots in the field, pulling blackberries on the terraces, cleaning up from winter blow-down, thinning snags, re-establishing festival boundary lines and Woods Stage cleanup & prep.
Interested? Please RSVP to Elwood and be sure to check in at the Galaxy Barn (the red one) when you arrive so you can get placed on a task.
We’ll have coffee/tea and some snacks, but you’ll want to pack a lunch (or visit a nearby grocery store). Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to limited Spring parking spaces.
Boots, WORK GLOVES, rain gear, warm socks, change of clothes, etc.
– Tools: Bring ’em if you got ’em!
Bow saws, loppers, shovels, hard rakes, cordless screw guns and vice grips will be most suited for our work. For liability reasons, please do not bring chainsaws. We will have an arborist getting some big stuff out with chainsaws, but most of the work is done by hand.
– Food/Drink (for yourself or to share if you wish)
– Your positive attitude and witty charm!
– As cute as they are, please leave your dogs at home 🐶
If you plan on bringing some friends out, please include the number of people and their names in your RSVP to Elwood (or have them contact us directly).
Pendarvis Farm & The 2018 Pickathon Crew
***Since Pickathon volunteer slots are limited, volunteering at a Pendarvis Farm work party will not earn you a free weekend pass for the festival. However, folks who volunteer at work parties will be given priority for a volunteer position at Pickathon, which WILL get you your free weekend pass.
Pickathon work parties are a great way to make new friends, let off some steam from the work week, join in the Pickathon/Pendarvis Farm community, help out, and do good work! And you’ll receive our undying love for eternity ❤🙌❤
