Your Pickathon adventure starts here!

Should we consider coming for the weekend or just a day? … Solo, with the crew, or bring the family?

We get these questions all the time, from seasoned Pickathon veterans to first-timers. We get it, there’s a lot to take in and consider…

The first decision to make is whether or not to attend the full weekend Fri-Sun, the extra full weekend Thurs-Sun, or only a specific day.

WeekendThe most important thing to know about the festival is that all artists will be performing twice, on two different stages, and on two different days. They are also typically around for much of the weekend, taking it in and enjoying themselves,  just like the rest of us. And it’s a great thing.

Why Thursday? We have early entry on Thursday’s to help better prepare for Friday morning. It’s a chance to arrive early and be among the early birds to set up camp in our public campsites. In addition, the entire festival is up and running with facilities, food vendors and of course, some music! The schedule is turning out to be pretty stacked this year, including I’m With Her, Tinariwen, Pickathon Square Dance with Caroline Oakley & The Cully Cut-ups, Joshua Hedley, Alela Diane, Mapache, and more.

Single Day: This is the most accessible entry into what Pickathon is all about. Each day providing the best of what we offer- 6 stages + 37 artists each day with music starting at 11am and ending at 2:30am the next morning. Each is a full day that is a marathon, not a sprint. Plus, all the delicious food & drink you can handle.

So, when it comes down to it, it really is a choose your own type of musical adventure. The difference is that you’re not on your own. There are many friendly guides out there and we’re here to help as you navigate these decisions. For those who already know what you want, be sure to get your tickets if you haven’t already!

We look forward to seeing you at the 20th annual Pickathon, August 3-5, 2018 at the beautiful Pendarvis Farm! xoxo
