Pony Up to the Paddock Neighborhood For Dreamy Evenings Beneath the Stars

Welcome to the Paddock Neighborhood, one of our big new additions to the festival! Just up the hill from the horse paddocks, the Paddock is a bit higher up on our main meadow where the Mt Hood and Starlight stages used to be, but it boasts the same gently sloped rolling meadow amphitheater with those gorgeous views of Mt. Hood that are so iconic. Check out some pics of our early stage build that we’re putting up right now!

During the day, it’ll be pretty hot and toasty here, so we’ve designed this beautiful meadow stage to come alive after dark. When the stars are out in the sky, gather on the soft field for evening and late night performances. Margo Cilker’s Eastern Oregon cowboy songwriting right into explosive Britpop breakouts Wet Leg, or Wu-Tang great GZA into indie folk songwriter Faye Webster into Afrofuturist jazz masters Sons of Kemet. Working with Skylab Architecture for the Neighborhood’s design and McFadin Design for the build, we’ve carefully curated key artists from the Pickathon lineup who play music so expansive and mind-exploding that it needs to fly free into the night sky. Plan your evenings around the Paddock Neighborhood and prepare to drift away to the stars!

Relax and Rejuvenate in the Refuge Neighborhood

The Refuge Neighborhood is coming together as well! After the few years we’ve all had, we really wanted to come back strong with a Wellness program to help heal, rejuvenate and sustain. This year in the Refuge Neighborhood, we’ll be offering morning meditations, a reading library, soundbaths, performances, DIY aromatherapy, a private breastfeeding station, and open interactive art sessions. Our friends from Make & Mary, a Latina women & queer owned beauty shop in Portland, will be offering herbalism, botanicals, and iced tea. Make & Mary are also leading the redesign of the Refuge Neighborhood!
