We’re happy to announce the Curation Lineup for Pickathon 2023! These special meals are a separately ticketed experience that pairs some of the best chefs in Portland with festival artists, vinyl DJs, and mixologists. Curation explores a nexus of creativity, when innovative minds come together to experiment! It’s a journey through art, culture, food, and love. Tickets are on sale now and are limited to 80 seats for each meal!

Each Curation chef is hand picked from Portland’s world-renowned culinary scene, and they’re paired with festival artists in usual combinations. The idea is that each will discover something new about the other, and that they’ll find something unexpected in common. Foraging through a world of vocal traditions, experimentalist indie trio Say She She are joining up with Filipino chef Carlo Lamagna of Magna Kusina on a mission to represent Filipino cuisine and culture in Portland. Tijuana chef Maylin Chávez, whose Portland restaurant Nácar brings a delicious Baja California seafood blast to town, joins up with Canadian indie folk harmonizers Ocie Elliott.

Zambian rock pioneers and enthusiasts of positivity W.I.T.C.H. pair with Vietnamese pho rising star chef Cindy Tran of Yoonique Phở&Grill, and from Grand Fir Brewing, Portland chef Jimmy Askren has been a force on the scene, coming up in some of the busiest kitchens in the city and developing a reputation for working with the best seasonal ingredients. Adams will be paired up with another artist known for his transcendent accessibility, Andrew Marlin of Watchhouse. Jazz and hip-hop virtuosos Butcher Brown will combine with chefs Kei & HJ of Pasture PDX, world class butchers focused on ethical animal husbandry.  Thanks to our partners in the region, like Flying Coyote, Pablo Munoz, Durant Olive Oil, Kenai Red Fish Co, and Campfire Farms, we’re able to offer Farm to Table produce, meat, groceries, and fish for most Curation meals! This truly is the best of the Northwest!

Each Curation event at Pickathon lasts two hours, starting with appetizers and drinks from the featured bartender and vinyl mixology from one of our specialist Pickathon DJs. Curation attendees then enjoy an intimate and special performance by the guest artist who has been paired with the Curation chef. Following the performance, the chef presents an expanded multi-course meal conceived of and designed for the Curation event. The table is set under the forested greenery of Pendarvis Farm, and the band plays to an audience of select guests eager to discover something new. Curation looks to the crossroads of creativity, as chef and artist draw inspiration from each other, and push each other to new heights. The result is a magical experience, a festival within a festival.
