Calling all young adventurers! Come aboard the S.S. Sea Woof, setting sail across Coyote Cove at Pickathon 2024! We asked what the team has up their sleeve for the Coyote Neighborhood on August 1-4, 2024. Here’s what they said…
This summer, the Coyote Neighborhood, Pickathon’s family zone at the top of Cherry Hill, will transform into an ocean adventureland. Led by our fearless mascot, Captain Coyote, kids will dive in deep with nautical-themed play structures, stage sets, and decorations.
They are creating sea serpent gateways, crows’ nest tree forts, a shipwreck stage, a lighthouse info booth, a coyote mascot costume and more. Families will participate in the fun through interactive craft projects, singalongs, and even a parade. Come sail the seas of music, art, and imagination in Coyote Cove!
Our design/build experts are Jacob Wooton and Sebastian Slaven-Davis from Cedarwood Waldorf School, resident artists Faerin Millington and Jason Greene, and many helping hands. See more behind the scenes on Instagram at @pickathoncoyote!

Our creative team has designed this ocean-themed paradise as a space for families to play, explore, enjoy music from Pickathon’s world-class 2024 Family Lineup, participate in thematic art projects, and learn skills from partners like Trackers Earth, My Voice Music, and Cedarwood Waldorf School. Meanwhile, we are dreaming up a backstory about our hero, Captain Coyote, and her sidekick, Cody the Crow. Children will even get a chance to add to the story and theme song!
