Dear Neighbors and Pickathon Friends,
Whether you’ve called Happy Valley home for generations or are joining us for the very first Pickathon, Welcome!
Pickathon’s story is deeply intertwined with the rich history of Pendarvis Farm, which has been owned by the Pendarvis family for over 80 years. Their dedication to fostering a vibrant community spirit aligns perfectly with Pickathon’s values.
Pickathon arrived at Pendarvis Farm in 2006, and since then, we’ve grown into a nationally recognized event while remaining committed to Happy Valley. We’ve strived to be good neighbors, adapting to the area’s growth while preserving the unique charm of Pendarvis Farm.
We recently received approval for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP). This not only secures Pickathon’s future for the next decade but also provides a crucial window of opportunity. It allows us to begin working towards realizing the Pickathon Cultural and Conservation District, a comprehensive vision for Pendarvis Farm.
This project aligns with the city’s vision for a walkable downtown and complements the scenic landscape. We believe it will benefit the community by preserving green space, offering cultural attractions, and creating new community facilities.
Transparency and collaboration are important to us. Throughout the CUP process, we held open houses, gathered neighbor feedback, and addressed concerns. We’re excited to continue working with you!
To Our Pickathon Friends:
As you get ready for an incredible weekend of music, art, and community, we want to remind everyone that Pickathon is located in the heart of Happy Valley, a vibrant neighborhood with welcoming residents.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all, we kindly ask that you be respectful of our neighbors throughout the festival. Here are a few key points to remember:
By following these simple guidelines, we can ensure a fantastic Pickathon experience for everyone – festival goers, neighbors, and the entire Happy Valley community.
Join us for Pickathon (Aug 1-4)! Kids 12 and under always get in free. If you live nearby (within .5 miles), experience the festival firsthand by requesting a pair of day tickets through our neighborhood ticket request form: Neighborhood Ticket Request Form.
We’re committed to minimizing sound impact, and we’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with a high-end audio manufacturer to prototype cutting-edge directional sound technology at Pickathon. This technology aims to further reduce sound levels outside the venue over the next five years. If you have any neighborhood concerns during the festival, please don’t hesitate to call our dedicated neighbor hotline at 503 753 1647.
