Chef – With a background in social work, Kelsey followed her heart and passion for cooking to embark on a culinary journey. With over six years of experience in various roles in the food industry, including leading restaurant kitchens and honing her recipe development and styling skills, Kelsey’s return to the food world was inevitable.

In the summer of 2021, Kelsey’s food adventure began with selling frozen handmade gyoza at the local farmers market. The demand for her delicious creations quickly grew, leading Not Umami’s Cooking to evolve into a hot food stand at farmers’ markets, where Kelsey serves up handmade gyozas and her unique take on Japanese American bites. Today, Not Umami’s Cooking offers small event catering and personal chef services, specializing in custom and delectable meals that cater to individual preferences. Kelsey’s mission is to tantalize your taste buds and nourish your body and soul with each dish. By sourcing local and organic ingredients whenever possible, she ensures that every meal is a memorable experience. Driven by her love for food and cooking, Kelsey crafts original recipes designed to bring joy to your table. Her approachable and diverse dishes are meant to inspire you to explore new flavors, learn through tasting, and embrace the joy of cooking!

Band – Pahua is a composer, percussionist, DJ, and producer from Mexico City who blends Caribbean and folkloric beats with electronics and global percussions. She began her musical journey as a vocalist in a Mariachi band and later co-founded Sotomayor Music, a neo-cumbia experimental music project with her brother. During the pandemic, Pahua launched her solo project, producing her own music and exploring various vibes and genres with numerous musicians.
