Greasy ( Mat Griesse ) is a real record junkie and has been digging for under appreciated cuts since the late 80’s. 60’s R&B, Popcorn, Disco, Boogie 12”, Jamaican 45’s, Jazz funk, Garage 45’s, and a whole lot of Soul!! He started DJing in Seattle around 1997 at nights like Truth and Soul Inc, Broken Beats, Deep Funk etc. In the 2000’s he would spin with E.C.S.C., Stop biting, Hip to the Game, Movement etc.. In 2008 he founded DUG one of Seattle’s best and longest running all Vinyl dance party. These days you catch him playing gritty garage and R&B 45’s at the Brotherhood in Olympia or randomly in Portland and Seattle as a guest. Deep Crates in all Styles with attention paid to those records outside the mainstream.
