Portland-based psychedelic folk-pop band Mama Sam & The Jam are in the business of transcendence…raising vibrations, loosening hips, and leaving a little stardust in the air. Think Mazzy Star wandering into a Fleetwood Mac rehearsal: dreamy, hook-forward melodies wrapped in lush, sky-climbing harmonies, trippy guitar shimmer, and grooves that bloom from slow sway to full-body sway.

Live, they’re pure kinetic chemistry. One minute they’re pulling at your heartstrings, the next they’ve got the whole room moving in unison. The Jam features Carmen Paradise, Nick Foltz, Rachael Curtin, Justine Renne and Mike Wiser all circling around powerhouse songwriter Mama Sam, who fronts the band with soulful vocals and rhythm-soaked guitar.

Mama Sam & The Jam signed with PDX collective label VLVT HEART RECORDS and are gearing up to release their long-awaited debut full-length LP, Songs About Boys, in September 2026.
