Red Yarn (aka Andy Furgeson) is a Texas-born, Oregon-based family performer who weaves roots music and puppetry into engaging shows for all ages. Performing alongside his wife & singing partner Ms. Jessie, their full band, and a suitcase full of “critter” puppets, Red Yarn’s shows are a raucous celebration of the USA’s multicultural musical heritage. At Pickathon 2024, the Red Yarn Band will perform inclusive rock’n’roll party songs from their recent album, “The Get-Together,” alongside revved-up folksongs sure to get families singing, dancing and experiencing the joy of community.

Red Yarn & his family band have performed at Austin City Limits Festival, South by Southwest, Pilgrimage, Stagecoach, Wolf Trap, Symphony Space, and family venues across the country. He has been declared “Portland’s Best Kindie Performer” for seven years straight in the PDX Parent Reader Favorites poll!
