Galaxy Barn

Galaxy Barn

concept

For a quarter-century, Pickathon has served as a discovery engine, and nowhere is that mission more alive than in the Galaxy Neighborhood. It all centers on the Galaxy Barn, one of the two oldest venues at Pickathon, housed in an original Pendarvis Farm building. This is the 300-person crucible where you could have seen the legends of tomorrow, today. Imagine witnessing the raw soul of Leon Bridges, the trailblazing country of Margo Price and Charley Crockett, the face-melting rock of Thee Oh Sees, or the furious bluegrass of Billy Strings—all in a room so intimate you become part of the performance. Your journey here can start by day, where the historic barn serves as a coveted air-conditioned sanctuary. But as night falls, it transforms into the legendary rager you’ve heard about—sometimes a punk club, sometimes a honky-tonk roadhouse, sometimes a cumbia-infused dance hall, but always unforgettable. The experience spills into the vibrant Galaxy Courtyard, a universe of its own. Here you can catch the barn’s broadcast on outdoor screens, walk through the larger-than-life "Galaxy Pool" steelhead sculpture, and dance your heart out under the stars. The Galaxy Neighborhood isn’t just a place you visit; it’s a piece of living history. So many of these legendary moments were caught on camera on our Pickathon YouTube Channel. See for yourself...
