Once past the entry gates, The Orchard is your transition into the festival core. It is a natural hallway of old-growth apple trees that guides you from the Farmhouse down toward the Lucky Barn and Galaxy Courtyard. This is where the decompression begins. As you walk beneath the boughs, the noise of the outside world fades, setting the mood for the immersion ahead.
This year, the path takes on new shape. Story poles and a series of archways designed by Bora Architecture & Interiors in partnership with Dream Big City line the way, each piece part of a longer journey from Pendarvis Farm to Dream Plaza 2.0, a community skate and arts space coming to Portland's Central Eastside. The Orchard has always been a threshold. This year it carries a little more with it.
