Refuge

The Sanctuary

When you need to hit pause, The Refuge is your destination. Tucked into a quiet, protected pocket of Pendarvis Farm, this is Pickathon's wellness home in the forest: a place to rest, heal, refresh, and reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with community.

This year, The Refuge is inspired by the theme Coming Home, an invitation to journey through Oregon's diverse bioregions while returning to what grounds us. Wander from a welcoming Willamette Valley farmstead into the towering Mt. Hood forest, exhale in the open High Desert, and follow the river to the Oregon Coast. Inspired by laundry lines and prayer flags, flowing textiles drift among the trees, a gentle reminder that our presence in nature can be light, temporary, and still deeply meaningful. Designed and built by Peter Mangano and Duke Stebbins, with decor by Glyness Dean.

Each morning begins with intention. Daily yoga and Qi Gong unfold in the Lucky Barn and the Galaxy Barn Courtyard, with morning fun runs and forest hikes up Scouters Mountain for those craving movement. All levels and all paces welcome.

Throughout the weekend, the Sanctuary fills with offerings for every kind of rest: sound baths and sound journeys, guided plant meditation and sound healing, tarot, a cacao ceremony, nature weaving, somatic movement, and more. The Refuge is also a sober-friendly space, with Mindful Recovery support groups gathering twice daily and peers available at night. Everyone is invited.

Showers & Massage

Cool off, rinse off, or reset with hand-built cedar showers tucked in the forest, open 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Thursday through Sunday. Showers are $10 during non-peak hours and $14 during peak hours (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM) for ages 13+. Kids 12 and under are free when sharing with a paying parent, with additional children $5 each, up to two per stall. Please bring your own towel and use biodegradable soap, as our beloved tree friends will be drinking the greywater. Limited towel rentals are available for $10.

And when your dancing body needs it most, treat yourself to a massage under the trees, complete with a free pre-massage shower. Reservations for 2026 massage appointments will open soon, so keep an eye on the blog and our socials to book your spot.
