Have you ever wondered what was going on with the floating fabric installations and well placed shade sails that we have out at Pickathon each year? Maybe you have even seen it evolve since our first year with the stuff back in 2005, and from that as many of you know, has come a long way since those early days back at Pudding River.
Well, our ace in the hole is Mar Ricketts Architect of the Air and founder of GuildWorks. In addition to providing all the shade and eye candy at Pickathon each year, Mar also works in other forms of production and has a special theatrical show launching in Portland this month and we wish to let you know about it. Initiation 22 will be on March 21 at the Miller Hall World Forestry Center from 6:30-8:00pm. It is advised to purchase tickets early as the space will fill fast. To check out more about GuildWorks go here, and to find out more about Initiation, hop on over here. This is said to be a world premier of the multi-sensory experience put together with the creative minds that have been behind Cirque du Soleil (another amazingly great show to see). Guildworks is providing the space and props. Check it out, should be way cool and likely would help sooth your inner core, and we all know that we could use a little core soothing every so often.
In the meantime, here is a funny little Pickathon production video that highlights a little bit of Zale, Mar, and Malibu Mike. Put together by the one and only Mr. Dave Allen. Enjoy.
