Volunteers Needed for Pickathon 2024!
With Pickathon just around the corner, we’re still looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team! Volunteering at Pickathon is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the magic behind the scenes, meet new people, and enjoy the festival experience from a unique perspective. Roles range from assisting with setup and teardown to helping out with various festival activities.
All volunteers receive a Weekend ticket in exchange for their contributions! We are truly a volunteer-run festival and every volunteer is vital; Pickathon simply would not exist without your efforts! Whether this will be your first year volunteering with us, or you’ve been doing it for longer than you can remember, we can’t wait to work with you to make 2024 our best year yet!

Jeffrey Martin Spotlight
On a small corner lot in southeast Portland, Oregon, Jeffrey Martin holed up through the winter recording his quietly potent new album Thank God We Left The Garden. Long nights bled into mornings in the tiny shack he built in the backyard, eight feet by ten feet. What began as demos meant for a later visit to a proper studio became the album itself, spare and intimate and true.

Logan Halstead Spotlight
Age is just a number, and Logan Halstead constantly reminds us of that. At just 15 years old, he wrote his first song, “Dark Black Coal,” a powerful, haunting song that depicts the struggles of a life of working in the coal mines, a lifestyle Logan witnessed many of his friends, family, and community members endure.

Two Runner Spotlight
Two Runner is Paige Anderson and Emilie Rose. The American Roots duo from Northern California embody the hills they grew up in. Through the mediums of clawhammer banjo, flatpicking guitar, vocal harmonies, and oldtime fiddle, Two Runner puts a hip take on the Appalachian feel.
