Pickathon Film Crew Announcement
Sunday May 24, 2026

For almost two decades, Pickathon has approached capturing the magic of the festival in a way that matched the creative spirit of the event itself, telling the story of who we are as a community. A group that lives without gravity for four days in the woods of Pendarvis Farm.

Those of you who have experienced our livestreams from afar know the unconventional approach Pickathon’s film crew has shared with the world. This style of storytelling was groundbreaking. It wasn’t traditional live video simply documenting music or festivalgoers, and it wasn’t a promotional piece. It was something entirely its own.

It has been a journey told through lenses, lighting, sound, and an incredible crew that, at its peak, included more than 700 industry professionals from around the world. Together, they created an artistic vision that extended across physical and digital media platforms alike. Check out our YouTube channel to look into our world.

Since the pandemic, the ways people consume these stories, along with the costs required to produce this collaborative art form, have changed dramatically. Unfortunately, those realities have created a financial hardship that Pickathon is unable to support at this time.

While we are actively working with partners to bring this program back in 2027, Pickathon will not have the robust film production in 2026, and sadly, we will not have a large staff or volunteer film crew this year. This will not be the last you hear from the film crew. We will return to share these amazing moments with you again soon.

If you or someone you know is interested in helping bring this program back, we’d love to hear from you. Contact info@pickathon.com.
