Are you ready? Here we go...
Pickathon is turning 15 and we think this is going to be the best year yet! In the coming weeks we're going to have a series of announcements about when tickets go on sale and a sneak peek at our lineup; so sign up on our mailing list and keep checking this web site for updates. In the meantime make sure you have August 2nd, 3rd, 4th reserved on your calendar.
Turning 15 is a great milestone for us. For those of you who have been with Pickathon since the early days you have witnessed our evolution from a small music gathering run by friends, family and volunteers to one of the more notable festivals in the country - still independent and run by friends, family and volunteers.
As we look ahead to the next 15 years we intend to continue to present the most inspiring and unique musical lineups imaginable spread out over multiple dream-like venues, remaining a leader in environmental sustainability, continuing to be truly family friendly, partnering with the best craft food and drink vendors, listening to your feedback, saying no to in-your-face sponsorships, limiting our ticket sales to continue to remain at one-half to one-fifth of the crowd size of most comparable festivals and continuing to pay attention to all the little improvements that make Pickathon special.
As always, we strive to be the favorite weekend of the year for music lovers of all ages.

The price increase this year was also a little surprising to me. Although I knew increases were coming, still the amount was larger than expected. That said, I have had great experiences for several years at Pickathon and I will reserve judgement for later and trust that some great decisions are being made behind the scenes. Got my tickets...but still awaiting confirmation of my car camping pass.

2013 will be my 3rd year. I love it. To the first comment below, if you can get there on Thursday, you get a good spot. On Friday, go way up. It's quiet up there. And it's best not to ask if there is room. Just set up.

I don't think I will be coming this year. I'm older, alone, and finding a place to camp last summer was impossible. Stuck my tent in a ditch, people walked by and laughed and pointed. But every time I'd asked, is there any room up there- No. It's full.
