Did we say Dec. 3?….
Friday December 5, 2008

Howdy Folks!
Well, as we officially head into the first weekend of December, we must now re-align our Tickets and Launch dates for 2009. As it stands now, we are still waiting on a couple elements that we would very much like to firm up prior to any announcements and ticket sales.
Right now we are working on the following:
1. 100% secure venue.
2. Lineup at least 75% confirmed.
In the end it is the best way to go for keeping everyone fully informed and 100% satisfied for our 11th Annual shindig.
We can assure that the lineup will be fantastic, and a cut above any other Pickathon thus far.. expect several new surprises, and some favorites of years past. We are wading through a sea of talent this winter, and are taking the time to make sure that all the necessary bases are covered…. it takes a lot of digging, and deep thought to assure the quality that has become the Pickathon standard. Pickathon has become know for its attention to detail, and bringing forward hidden gems from across the country…and we intend to carry on with that tradition.
What we hope is that this will be taken care of by the 2nd-3rd week of January, and from there we will have the *new* 2009 website launch, and also the pre-sale Tickets available for purchase (to e-list subscribers first). Our pre-sale tickets will sell-out quick, as will the RV and Car Camping passes (so don’t wait too long). This happens earlier each year, and we are truly grateful for the enthusiasm and support.
2009 finds us all in a unique place in history, and here at Pickathon we will do our best to help accommodate each and every one of you in every way we can.
Here are a couple ways that we are trying to do what we can to help.
1. Our tickets, as they always are, will be affordable and pound-for-pound the best value for the dollar around.
2. Kids under 12 are free (with ticket-purchasing adult).
3. Pickathon will provide free shuttles from Portland to the Festival site.
4. Our Late-Night shows come ‘free’ with the weekend ticket.
5. Around the clock music on 6 stages from Friday afternoon to late Sunday night.
…and these are just a few of the many examples.

Pickathon has continued to grow over the past 10 years, and we will keep the mission and core values close at hand and continue to expand these ideas in helping make a truly unique event. Sustainability, Family-Friendly, Quality Production, and World Class Music. It’s easy to do, and all the folks that attend and volunteer have helped make it a special place for many for several years. We thank you, and look forward to many more years of a thriving Pickathon community.
Please keep checking back, and sign up for the newsletter if not already…
Thanks again, and we promise….soon.
-Pickathon 2009 Staff.

P.S. Also, if not already – maybe check out the Pickathon Merch Page, as we have lots of goodies perfect for Holiday Gifting.
