Pickathon 2024 is set to be an unforgettable adventure, and we’re thrilled to reveal the Neighborhood Lineup! Each year, Pickathon transforms Pendarvis Farm into a vibrant tapestry of music, art, and community, and this year is no different. Here’s a sneak peek into the diverse and immersive neighborhoods that await you at this year’s festival. With 15 unique neighborhoods, there’s something for everyone to explore and enjoy.
Cherry Hill, designed by students from Portland State University’s School of Architecture, focuses on reusable, sustainable materials.
This year’s installation transforms from a stage backdrop to a passageway, a sitting area, and more, embodying the concept of possibility and transformation.
The Coyote Neighborhood is all about family-friendly activities with a nautical theme this year.
Led by Captain Coyote, kids will enjoy sea serpent gateways, shipwreck stages, and interactive crafts.
The Curation Neighborhood offers a meticulously curated experience, blending music, art, and immersive environments to create a unique and thought-provoking space.
This year’s theme revolves around “Time and Transformation,” with installations that invite festival-goers to reflect on their personal journeys and the collective experience.
The Farmhouse Neighborhood is your introduction to Pickathon! It’s our front door! You’ll hop off the shuttle, or get dropped off right in front, and for anyone who arrived at the South Lot this is where you will get your tickets. This is your gateway to adventure!
Known for its late-night ragers and cool daytime sets, the Galaxy Barn is one of the few air-conditioned stages.
This year, technology and nature blend seamlessly in the design, with interactive technology and a gigantic LED panel wall by Planar showcasing live feeds and abstract views.
The Galaxy Courtyard is perfect for late-night DJ dance parties and relaxing with friends.
This design explores wayfinding and celebration, with a skeletal structure for relaxation, refreshments, and dancing.
Located near the Paddock Stage, the Grove Neighborhood is your go-to for dance-heavy programming. With DJs spinning late into the night and specialty cocktails available, it’s a central hub of energy and fun.
This year, entering the Grove means meeting friendly guardians like the mantra, frog, and stick insects. Inspired by “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” the environment features giant flowers, leaves, and grass, creating a whimsical, larger-than-life experience.
The Lucky Barn offers an intimate indoor venue with air conditioning, ideal for artist interviews and small performances.
The Lucky Neighborhood at Pickathon 2024 features shaded relaxation areas designed by Guildworks, performances, and yoga sessions, offering a vibrant and unique festival experience all hours of the day.
Next to Cherry Hill, the Market Neighborhood is perfect for discovering local food and crafts. With a farmer’s market and various vendors, it’s a vibrant spot to shop and dine.
The Market team is focused on creating a welcoming and vibrant bazaar atmosphere that invites you to linger, lounge, shop, dine, drink, and explore day-to-night interactive and engaging artwork, with modular lounge seating and picnic tables dotted throughout.
The Orchard serves as a tranquil entry point to the festival, with spaces to lounge and enjoy the weekend’s vibes.
The design aims to inspire a transition from daily life to the festival’s dreamlike experience.
Situated in the main meadow, the Paddock Neighborhood is perfect for late-night cool-downs with mysterious visual art installations.
The new backdrop, “Antlers & Sunset,” designed by Hoffman Construction and ZGF Architects, symbolizes growth and renewal with louvered pillars forming a half-sun.
The Refuge is a sanctuary for wellness activities like massages, sound therapy, and botanical weaving.
This year, designed by Libby Greenfield, Gabriel Brown, Nate Jones, Lindsay Love, Kaylee Mayeux, and architect Jackson Toole, it embraces the theme of 1000 cranes for peace, prosperity, and hope, providing a tranquil space to rejuvenate.
The Welcome Lot is the initial gathering point for festival-goers, setting the stage for the Pickathon experience.
This neighborhood features interactive elements showcasing the force and elegant shapes of wind using lightweight fabrics, bamboo, and reclaimed materials.
Immerse yourself in the artistic representations of wind in its many forms.
Tucked at the base of a natural wooded amphitheater, the Woods Neighborhood is iconic. Every year, we weave together trees and branches to create a stunning stage backdrop. With food, beverages, and free water available, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the music surrounded by nature’s beauty.
The 2024 Woods Neighborhood features Forest Baskets for intimate gatherings, mystical Portals, and winding tunnels leading to the legendary Woods Stage. Created by the Branch Crew Team under the visionary Mark Lakeman and Samantha Rayvin, this is not just construction but a joy-fueled creation where every branch tells a story.
