For those who have attended Pickathon before, you know that one of the most exciting things to do before you arrive is trying to guess who among our lineup will become the next breakout stars headlining festivals across America. It happens every year, and this year will be no exception.
If you have never been to Pickathon, just look back two or more years on any given lineup and let your jaw hit the floor when you realize that all of those “unknown” artists performed at one festival, and no one knew it at the time. Some previously unknown Pickathon artists who few had heard of at the time include Billy Strings, Tyler Childers, Khruangbin, Leon Bridges, Kamasi Washington, Sturgill Simpson, War on Drugs, Lake Street Dive, Mac DeMarco, Black Pumas, Goth Babe, Thee Sacred Souls, The Marias, Avett Brothers, just to name a few.
So Pickathon veterans, the question now falls to you: Who do you think the breakout artists of Pickathon 2024 will be?
Obviously, we don’t know the answer either, but we know it will happen. Just to get the conversation started, here are a couple of possible good guesses to get you thinking:
